Now a PhD student in her final year in sociology of knowledge at Paris 3 la Sorbonne Nouvelle. From 2013 to 2014 she was Deputy Member of the research committee at the République démocratique research centre in Paris, France. From 2007 to 2015, she was a researcher and a student at the Université Paris 3, Arab and Oriental Studies Centre (ECWA)

is in France since 1969. She has a Doctorate "es lettres", she is specialized in modern litterature. "In 2011, When the revolution began in Syria, time seemed to retract for me because since 1969
my dream of democracy in Syria was buried."

NAHED BADAWIA
is ingenner, left activist for democracy in Syria in the 1980s, member of "Damas spring" in the 2000s.
She is in France since 2013.

SAHAR AL BOUNNY
(MUSTAFA KHALIFE's whife) is ingenner, left activist since 1976. She was encarceled 6 times by Hafez al-Assad regime until the end of the 1980s, whose ones pregnant. Her first daughter RUHAM, was born when her husband Mustafa was imprisoned: Ruham lived 4 years without her parents because both in jail. They had a second daughter RAZAM after beeing released, 20 years old today.

MUSTAFA KHALIFE
was imprisoned during 12 years by Hafez al-Assad regime. His first daughter was born 5 months after his detention: he only met her 4 times before beeing released. To share his experience, he wrote "The shell, political prisoner in Syria" edited in France in 2007.

FAROUK MARDAM-BEY
was born in Damas where he studied law. He came in Paris in 1965 to study political sciences. He worked as Cultural Advisor in World Arabic Institute in Paris. He is director of publication for Symbad’s editions / Actes Sud since 1995.

is doctor of international relations. She is associated researcher in Thucydide Center in Paris, in Contemporary History's chair of Arabic World (Collège de France); president of Researchers Circle of Middel Est (Cercle des Chercheurs sur le Moyen-Orient / CCMO); director of publication for "World in front of arabic revolutions", Cygne editions, Paris, 2012.
